Kids enjoy receiving gifts, and why wouldn’t they? Before moving day, think of buying a tiny wrapped present in the middle of the trip. This might be another book, a tiny toy, or anything relevant to their new home. Sometimes trying something new works wonders for keeping youngsters pleased.
No matter how many toys and tricks you have up your sleeve, no child will ever be satisfied (or invigorated) without eating. For the first several hours, keep food on hand, such as cheese, sandwiches, fruits, crackers, juice boxes, water, and so on. Be prepared since you never know what kind of cuisine you’ll come upon on the trip.
Before you know it, you’ll be in your new house, welcoming the moving company and your boxes. It may be a lengthy journey, but as with other aspects of relocating, it will be an exhilarating adventure that you and your children will cherish forever.
